A School Moving Forward
When the Path to Russia (PTR) outreach team visited Entanda Primary School, they were warmly received by Headteacher Mrs. Gladys Kemunto, her staff, and enthusiastic learners. With 324 pupils and 14 teachers, the school represents resilience and ambition in a community setting.

Recent Development and Support
Entanda recently received support from the area Member of Parliament, who funded a storey classroom block that is now complete. This infrastructure marks a step forward, but the school continues to face challenges that limit learners’ daily experiences.
Key Challenges Raised
- Birth certificates: About 60% of learners lack documentation, reducing government funding.
- Sanitation: Washrooms are dilapidated and in urgent need of renovation.
- Feeding program: None exists, leaving many children hungry.
- ICT gap: No computer lab, with books stored in the staffroom instead of a library.

Cultural Exchange and Engagement
PTR led a lively Russian language session, where learners repeated phrases with excitement, showing curiosity about new cultures. Teachers also expressed enthusiasm for such programs, which expand horizons beyond the classroom.
Conclusion
Entanda Primary has made progress through political support but remains constrained by gaps in sanitation, feeding, and ICT resources. PTR reaffirmed its commitment to continued cultural outreach and advocacy for resource mobilization.
